Welcome!

Thank you for visiting the online home of the Bloomington Chapter,
National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR)!
We are proud to continue the tradition of active service that was begun by the founders of our chapter in 1904.

Established in 1890 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., the DAR’s primary objectives are to promote patriotism, preserve American history, and support education. We are a non-partisan, non-profit volunteer service organization of women firmly committed to making a positive impact on our nation.

Our society is both steeped in history and forward-thinking; a vibrant service organization recognized around the world for the work we accomplish in our communities and beyond.

The Bloomington Chapter, NSDAR, welcomes all women, 18 years and older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can trace their lineage to a Patriot of the American Revolutionary War. Our chapter members represent women from all walks of life who come together to serve through their activities with the DAR.
